Gratitude

Sermon, Friends and a Road Trip

  1. Today I am thankful for my husband, Jeff. He spoke at an annual national lecture series at ACU. His sermon was healing asking everyone to go out and shine … “Shine on, you crazy diamonds.” Of course I am very biased! I am grateful for his heart that continues to seek God.
  2. I am thankful to share the experience with several dear friends (and one brand new friend). I felt doubly blessed, because I could share each moment with people I love to be around. Plus, I got to witness their kind words and encouragement for my husband. Community. Connection.
  3. Lastly, I am thankful to be home after a six-hour, stiff-legged car ride on two-lane rural roads. Getting out of the car and stretching in our house felt like heaven. Literally.

My son added to the gratitude list:

Cross Country

Coffee

Pants

Surprising Exclamations (LIKE PANTS!)

Superheroes

Air-conditioning

and Gratitude

What are you thankful for today?

  1. The blue of the autumn sky; my neighbor who also has an old, broken down car in her driveway; and I walked faster today than normal in my workout.
