50’s Dance, Daughter, and Vietnamese Food

Today I am thankful for:

1. A 50’s Dance. Our youth group is in the process of raising money to go on a mission trip to Honduras. Last night they put on a dance filled with 50’s music, hamburger sliders, and soda floats. I loved the way couples married over 50 years danced to their favorite tunes cheek to cheek. It was also a delight to see our teenagers having an opportunity to serve and create a fun evening for the rest of us. The kids raised over $3000 dollars toward their goal. Cool.

2. When I heard my daughter’s voice calling for me this morning. We prayed to have her in our life and sometimes I just stop and feel thankful to hear the words, “Hey mamma, I need you.” She is a blessing in my life that I do not want to take for granted.

3. An awesome Vietnamese lunch with several families from our church. The laughter, talks about Shakespeare, and the awesome peanut sauce were a blessing.

What are you thankful for today?
